COINAGE — PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: Nov 8, 2025

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Coinage App LLC ("Coinage", "we", "us", and "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you use our mobile app, website, APIs, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account & identifiers: name, email, phone (optional), device identifiers, IP address, account IDs we assign, and push notification tokens.
  • Brokerage data (via SnapTrade): connected brokerage identifiers, account display details, balances, positions/holdings, orders and order statuses, transactions, and related metadata needed for portfolio analytics, P&L, and trading.
  • Card & banking data (via Plaid): credit-card account identifiers, transactions, liabilities/statement snapshots, and limited metadata used to drive selling automation. We do not receive or store your bank login credentials.
  • Automation settings & activity: your rule configurations, eligible holdings selections, sell runs/legs created by the automation engine, and event logs for troubleshooting and audit.
  • Subscription & entitlements: product plan, app-store purchase receipts/identifiers, and entitlement status to gate Premium features.
  • Usage & diagnostics: app interactions, feature usage, timestamps, performance metrics, crash logs, and device characteristics.
  • Support & communications: messages you send to support and feedback forms.

We may collect information directly from you, from your devices, and from service providers that operate on our behalf.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (link accounts, compute P&L, preview and place orders through your broker, reconcile transactions, and run automation).
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud/abuse, enforce terms, perform audits, and debug.
  • Communicate with you about activity, changes, security alerts, and support.
  • Improve the Service, including analytics and research.
  • Personalize in-app experiences (e.g., eligible holdings lists, saved preferences).
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
  • Create aggregated/de-identified data for analytics and product improvement. We do not attempt to re-identify de-identified data.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR applies, our processing bases include: (a) contract (to provide the Service you request); (b) legitimate interests (to secure, improve, and support the Service); (c) consent (where required, e.g., certain analytics/marketing); and (d) legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We share information with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf under contract (e.g., hosting, security, analytics, notifications, customer support).
  • SnapTrade to link your brokerage, sync holdings, fetch quotes, preview/place orders, and manage connections you authorize.
  • Plaid to link cards/accounts and process transactions/liabilities that power automation.
  • Subscription & billing partners (e.g., Apple, Google, RevenueCat) to validate purchases and entitlements.
  • Your direction or consent, such as when you initiate a connection or request we share information.
  • Authorities, regulators, or counterparties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
  • Corporate transactions (e.g., merger/acquisition), where your information may transfer subject to this Policy or a successor policy with comparable protections.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA). If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices.

6. Third-party services

When you link accounts or use features that rely on Third-Party Services (e.g., SnapTrade, Plaid, Apple/Google in-app purchases), those providers may collect information under their own policies. We encourage you to review them. We do not receive or store your brokerage or bank login credentials.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Typical retention horizons include: (a) account/profile data for the life of the account; (b) audit/log records for [12–24 months]; (c) automation/trading event data for [at least 7 years or as required by law/regulators]; and (d) de-identified analytics indefinitely. Actual retention may vary based on law, dispute holds, and system constraints.

8. Security

We employ administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, restricted access on a need-to-know basis, key management controls in production, and continuous monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we discover a security incident that affects you, we will notify you and/or regulators as required by law.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of certain personal information, and to appeal our decision on a request. You may also have the right to opt out of certain processing (e.g., targeted advertising or profiling). To exercise rights, contact us at legal@coinage-app.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.

Marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link. We will still send transactional or security messages.

Do Not Track. Our websites may not respond to “Do Not Track” signals due to the lack of a common industry standard.

10. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or a higher age where required by law). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact legal@coinage-app.com so we can take appropriate action.

11. International data transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries with different data-protection laws than where you reside. When required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post changes with a new “Last updated” date and take additional steps if required by law. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
